On account of the difficulties faced by the Companies during the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequential lockdowns, various representations had been filed before the Ministry of Corporate Affairs ('MCA') requesting extension of time for holding Annual General Meeting ('AGM') for the F.Y. 2020-21 ending on 31 March 2021. Taking cognizance of the said difficulties, the MCA vide Office Memorandum dated 23 September 2021 has extended the time limit for a period of two months beyond the due date from which the Companies are required to conduct the AGM for F.Y. 20-21.
